Best Hotel/Area to stay at in San Francisco??.... First time visitor? |
Travel Info Would like to stay somewhere in my budget. Any ideas??? Travel Tips Well without knowing your budget or what part of town you want to stay in it is pretty hard to help you. For a first time visitor staying in the Union Square area is a good idea. It is centrally located and there are lots of public transportation options. You may want to check out Joie de Vivre hotels, they have a lot of cool hotels in the city in several price ranges. Also they have a free service where they match you up with a local who shares your interests and gives you a short introdution and tour of the city. Source(s): www.jdvhospitality.com Other Travel Tips I go to San Francisco a few times a year. Like the other poster said Union Square is a great place to be close to a lot of things to do - MOMA, China Town, Union Square Lots of shopping, dining and night life of all types. I always stay at the Hotel Villa Florence - Great hotel excellent staff and right in the heart of union square. when i traveled to san francisco in august we stayed at the park hotel which was about 80 a night and we stayed there 3 nights (we rented a car and did a road trip of california) i'm not going to lie to you if you're high maintence this may not be the place for you it's pretty old has an old fashioned elevator, and looks more like a tenament than a hotel however mostly college students live there and you'd be surprised how great the area is. trust me you cannot beat the area. it's perfectly safe and in the center of everything!! |
