Most hotels charge $30+ a day for parking. The cheapest garage near the St. Francis is the Sutter Stockton garage and it is $25 a day. The garage at 5th and Mission [about 6 blocks from the hotel] is $23. I echo the advice about taking public transporation. For what you spend on parking for one day you can travel the whole city for a week. Even cabs are cheaper than bringing your car to a Union Square Hotel.
