I am going to San Fran in April and was wondering if anybody knew of a reasonably priced hotel in a good area? |
Travel Info I have never been to San Francisco before and was wondering if anyone knew of a good hotel in a nice area, as well as things to do (ie. activities, dining, etc.) in the city/surrounding areas. Thanks. Travel Tips Try kimptonhotels.com - they have several hotels in SF. I recommend staying in Union Square - lots of shops and restaurants. I recommend having lunch at the Cheesecake Factory at the top of Macys, and dinner at Asia de Cuba at the Clift Hotel. Also take a cable car ride from Union Sq to Fisherman's Wharf. Alcatraz is worth a visit - book tickets online at least 2-3 weeks in advance because they sell out very fast. You can pick them up at the self-serve kiosk 20 minutes before departure (sort of like when you buy movie tickets online).The Hyatt at Fishersman Wharf/ Pier 39. Great Place and location to travel the cable cars. There are a lot of great boutique hotels. Stay in the "Union Square" area. Cathedral Hill Hotel http://sanfrancisco.hotels.com/processad...
