I'm a Filipino.Are there lots of my countrymen living in San Francisco,CA?Is there any romantic place there? |
Travel Info I would also love to visit the place some time.And I'm hopeful that I'll get to marry an American especially residing in San Francisco or if not,Florida. So,I really am wanting to have more knowledge about the place. Travel Tips San Francisco is world-famous for its beauty and arthitecture, and for the most part, that reputation is largely deserved. But it is also much colder in San Francisco than in the Phillippines, so that will probably make your first year here memorable. The Filipino and Asian Pacific Islander population in the San Francisco Bay Area is roughly 300,000 to 320,000. Out of over 7.1 million total... European-Americans account for 3.8 million, African-Americans 500,000, East Asians 1.2 million, Hispanics 1.3 million, and Native Americans about 50,000. There are two suburbs of San Francisco that have very large Filipino populations: Daly City (just south of the city) and Vallejo (about 30-40 minutes away). There is a huge population of Filipinos in Los Angeles. They are the third largest immigrant group in L.A. San Francisco is voted the most romantic city in the U.S. several times. I'm not sure of its ranking this year, but it should stay high. North Beach is pretty nice. San Diego County in Southern California has a vibrant Filipino community stretching from Mira Mesa to Chula Vista. Do not mistake my meaning here though, it is not a continuous neighborhood, but pockets within all the cities in between. I believe you will find San Diego County and its cities to be as interesting as San Francisco. San francisco is a horrible place to try to find a husband. There is a large population of gay men and the straight men don't like to settle down. Look elswhere. San Francisco is known for its melting pot of nationalities. We are known for our diverse cultures that are represented throughout the city. There are number of filipinos living in the city, but your best bet for finding filipinos is in a city directly right next to San Francisco. Known as Daly City, which is just a quick freeway drive away, they are hugely populated with Filipinos. Definitely check that smaller city out and you will be surprised to see how many filipinos live there. Good luck in finding your special someone! |
