Source(s): Experience Other Travel Tips Without traffic you can do it about 45 minutes as long as you are not in South San Jose. With traffic, it could be up to two hours. That is a horrible commute. If you are thinking of moving and planning to commute don't. On a bad day could be two hours each way. No joke. But yes on a dream day 45 minutes. really really long . really long. it takes a hour get from there to there with good traffic , but san jose has some of the worst traffic.it also has parts underconstruction so there are lots of delays. i would suggest moving to berkeley or taking bart. it could tak 4 hours with bad traffic to get to emeryvile but if you must take a car then try taking other roads that go around. frontage roads are very good too |
