Redding, CA? |
Travel Info I currently live in Central Cal and would love to move up north. i have heard redding is gorgeous. anyone know anything about this town? Travel Tips Yes, it's beautiful, but there's always the good with the bad. It's located near Interstate 5 which is good, but there's isn't really a lot there if you're looking to visit a bigger city every once in a while. If you don't like the heat then I don't recommend it. It can reach 110+ in the summers. If you're looking to move into a diverse community, Redding isn't the place to be either; very heterogeneous. Check this website for more specifics. Source(s): http://www.ci.redding.ca.us/ Other Travel Tips Redding isn't that nice of an area but pretty much everything within 50 miles of it is. Redding is surrounded with many redwoods and hills and close to the snow. Generally it's a quiet type town but who knows in comparison where where you are from. If you love getting out of city sprawl then Redding would be a wonderful place to live. It is beautiful there,, your very close to the mountains in the winter if you like to snow ski, The Siskiyou mountains there a bit north tho,, they will make you sit down and say ahhh,, what took us so long to move here, and Lake Shasta,,, Oh My God,, magnificint Redding is basically in a plains area. A lot of fields and mountains in the distance. The land doesn't get really interesting until you get about 20 miles north of Redding. The Lake Shasta area is really beautiful. |
