What is a good spot to live in San Francisco? |
Travel Info What is a good spot to live in San Francisco? Travel Tips It depends on what your budget is. That is going to determine where you live. I lived there for three years and was lucky to find the place I did. Unless you have big dollars, you will probably be looking at a roommate situation. Meaning, you will move into an apartment that someone is already living in. That's very common in SF. It's a small city with an excellent public transit system. Owning a car is sometimes a burden unless you get a place with assigned parking. It will be an extra cost at most places. Forget about driving to work. Daily parking rates will kill you. Good luck. Others I wouldn't recommend it. Matter of fact, if you choose to live in California, anywhere, unless you're from here, you must reeeeaaaally be down and out. I dont think there is a good spot to live in San Francisco. By this time, the nice places have already its occupants. There arent any, too damn expensive!!!! San Francisco is a great place to live. I'd suggest the northern part of the city: Marina, Russian hill, Pacific Heights/lower pacific heights, and parts of north beach. Downtown and south of market (SOMA) can be rough and parking usually sucks. The sunset is ok, just more of a suburban setting (but cheaper). The Richman is also nice, just a little far from most of the action. Stay away from the tenderloin and the bayview at all costs. Hope this helps. Try the North Beach area Well if you have the money Pacific Heights is a great place to live or if not and it depends on your life style maybe North Beach. |
