How to get to golden gate bridge and Cablecars from Sunnyvale? |
Travel Info I want to visit the cable car and Golden Gate bridge in SFO from Sunnyvale. I can take a Caltrain to SFO, but can someone tell is there a Caltrain station near the Golden Gate bridge or one near the Cable Car at Powell/Market? If not, if I take the Cable Car to the end to Fisherman Wharf, how far is the Golden Gate Bridge from there, and what is the best way to get there. Thanks :-) Travel Tips well your best bet is too take the train up to millbrae, transfer off and get onto bart , and exit bart on powell st, walk about 2-3 long blocks to catch a cable cars,, and you need to take public transportation(bus) to get to the golden gate bridge.(Take a bus tour to see everything),,anyway it is just a bridge.. http://www.sanfranshuttletours.com/?ovra... Others the Caltrain station is at Townsend, so you'd have to catch the MUNI #15 Kearny up to Market Street and then take the #38 Geary up to Powell Street to catch a cable car. You can take the cable car out to Fisherman's Wharf.
