What's life like in San Francisco?

Travel Tips
SF is not the largest city, but it is crowded and busy. If you have a job in the city I would definitely say you don't need to have a car. There are many ways to get around such as buses, BART, light rail, cabs, etc. There are lots of things to see and do. It is very expensive to do just about everything. You can go to the beach, walk the piers and window shop for free, but that is about it. If you like the hustle and bustle of the city SF would be a good place for you.

It's a medium-sized cosmopolitan city...you should visit the Haight-Asbury district to see what the 'purple haze' days were like, as well as the Ghirardelli chocolate factory (yummy)...the boardwalk is also pretty nice for people-watching and enjoying the ocean view...have fun
Life here is like another AIDS case waiting to happen. This usually happens in pockets of societies where animalistic misbehavior and defiance of biological laws take place.

San Francisco has its own style. Yes, it is expensive but SF is a great place to live, especially if you are young and full of energy. It is only my opinion but I think that SF is the best city in America.
its like living life on the edge??? hahah i dunno
Very busy and fast-paced. It can seem an exciting and adventurous place at times, but it can also seem like a nightmare at others. Traffic is always a constant problem, as is parking. If you are patient though, the city does offer an amazing mix of culture, art, and nature. The architecture is beautiful, as are the parks and the beaches. The weather is always a surprise. While it's usually cool and often foggy, the one day I dressed for cold, it ended up being over 100 degrees. It's good to dress in layers to be safe.
...and, public transportation is readily available and an excellent way to sight-see without the hassle.
