Travel Info Are there any specific trails in Muir Woods that are better than others and why? Travel Tips The giant trees are all situated along the short "boardwalk" trail from the visitors center. So, if you just want to see the "skyscraper-sized" grove of trees, just follow the herd of tourists. However, if you have a full day... the Ben Johnson and Dipsea trails to Stinson Beach can be very rewarding. They're not too steep and they go through some of the best parts of the woods.
