What are airports close enough to fly to San Fran? (i.e. Oakland, S.Jose ?) how much further drive than SFO? |
Travel Info WE're flying from New York Travel Tips SF Airport is about 20 minutes from downtown SF (on a good traffic day). Oakland is about 30 minutes (again, on a good traffic day), but you'll be going across the bridge, which is prone to backups. San Jose is about 50 miles away. Oakland is a smaller airport than SF, but it's more expensive to get into the city by shuttle or cab. Others Well Oakland is just across the bay, not much time at all. Much faster than San Jose. Oakland and San Jose are MUCH smaller airports than San Francisco. Oakland may be 10 miles and across the Bay Bridge, and San Jose is about 40 miles and straight down the road from S.F.O. Either one is much easier to navigate than S.F.O. just because of the size. Have a good time..Temp today was in mid 70's. |
