Question about the Muni tickets transport in San Francisco? |
Travel Info How time is available a Muni ticket transport in SF ? and how many transferts can I take with one ? thanks. Travel Tips Transfers are good until the time indicated on the transfer, usually about an hour and a half. You can use the transfer as many time during that period as you want. One exception, transfers can not be used on cable cars. Others The transfers are usually good for around 90 minutes or so. It'll say "one-direction only" on the transfer, but that's not actually the case. Unlike in many other U.S. cities, bus drivers in San Francisco will not take your transfers. Just show them to the driver as you board. You can use them multiple times... on any line, in any direction. However, transfers are not accepted on cable cars. The tranfers are available until the time indicated on the bottom of the fare. You can use it on the buses, the F streetcar and trains in any direction. But not on the cable cars, they don't accept transfers. MUNI and the Cable Car system are operated on separate companies so MUNI transfers will not work for Cable Cars. MUNI transfers are given by the driver when you pay and board one of their vehicles; they will last approximately 90 minutes but some bus drivers are nicer and will give you a longer time period. Just look at the last hour near the bottom of the transfer and that will be the last time you can use it before a driver takes it from you. What is good about MUNI transfers is that you can get on and off any MUNI lines as many times you want during that period. Muni offers the Metro busses that run underground and also buses on the surface as well. |
