Something nice about Marin County? |
Travel Info After much thought and consideration, my husband and I have decided to move our family to Marin (instead of Alamo, which was our other choice). Pretty much all that is said on this website about Marin and its residents is negative. Can someone please post whether they have had any positive experiences as a family in Marin? Thanks so much! Travel Tips natural beauty and lots of public parkland and open space Source(s): Marin resident Other Travel Tips Marin is close to One of my favorite places in the world... Pescadero. It is a tiny one street town just south of Half Moon Bay. My family came from Ireland and settled there in the late 1800's. It has a great resturaunt/bar called Duarte's (the Bloody Marys are award winning and the food is outstanding.) There is a small church and a graveyard just down the road that is worth seeing. I have several family members buried there and I am actually planning on being buried there myself (someday) because I love it so much. check out http://www.inn-california.com/centralcoa... I know it's not Marin but it's close and worth seeing. (pescadero?! i grew up in la honda! im friends with the duarte's grandaughter i love that cemetery my neighbor's mom had a funeral procession in a horse drawn buggy to there and is buried there crazy. i bet we know eachother?) marins okay my dads from terra linda i thik its kind of shitty not san rafael is nice but its really pretentious and wealthy but its pretty i wouldnt want to raise my kids in a place like tiburon or mill valley because i think theyd get a skewed sense of money and reality I am a peninsula brat not a Marin co snob but if i had a choose in between were? and Marin , lady.... Marin is a place not that many people can afforded to move to and for a good reason. for get what people say. live you own life and don't listen to them,not only the weather but you are close to the beach and San Fran and wine country and so much more, alamo is that in texas?lol |
