Travel Info I am wanting to move to Berkeley / Oakland most likeley because jobs (me and my girlfriend ..yes lesbian). Any cool spots, but nice professional yet young and vibrant in this area? I am willing to spend around 1200 to get something in a prime area. Thanks! Travel Tips Go on craigslist.com do a search under san francisco/ east bay. Lake merritt/ Grand area is the only decent place to live in oakland. Lots of hip young professional who cant afford to live in san francisco.... oh ya lots of lesbians in the area too. Others For San Francisco you may have to spend more than $12000 unless you want to live south of Market Street, which can be okay scene-wise, what with your same gender preferences, but really, to set up a nice home for yourselves, spend a little more and live in San Francisco, preferably the Sunset or Richmond district. where are you moving from? If your new to california beware of Expensive cost of living! Prices are ridiculous! $1200per month should find you something ok..thats about it just ok. good luck |
