Travel Info

Travel Tips
Well.... Southern California (Los Angeles) is sunny like Florida, San Francisco (and you posted your question in the San Francisco section) is usually foggy and cool.

I live in California. hope to see you here some time if you come and visit.
it's only sunny and pretty in So. Cal Northern CA is cold and foggy allot of the time. Central CA is a hot dry desert area. I don't think any one who doesn't live here really understands how vastly different CA is in different parts of the states there is no on stereotype that classifies all of CA. There are parts of CA where it almost never stops snowing and parts of CA that see less than an inch of precipitation a year. Only a very small sliver of the state is beautiful sunny coast land.
Don't live here.
We've got too many people as is, and you won't enjoy living with the reality that a catastrophic earthquake can strike any day.

I had been from Northern to Southern California. It is more expensive to live in San Francisco. The tax there is highest not only in California but I presume all over the USA. I had stayed there for 1 month. I love San Francisco but I wont be able to survive there! I had stayed in Concord for 1 month with my cousins and like San Francisco, cost of living is also expensive since it is within the Bay Area.
San Diego is nice! Alisso Viejo in Orange County is also ok. I hate LA since it is too hot, too traffic and too polluted! The views at Malibu are the best. I had stayed in Ventura County also, both in Simi Valley and Camarillo. El Centro is so far the hottest but cold during winter too! The weather there is extremes but the cost of living is the lowest so far.
A studio type room in San Francisco and Contra Costa County cost $1,000+++. In San Diego, at National City, a 2 bedroom room would cost around $700++ as of last year. However, it is more expensive at the UC San Diego area. A house in El Centro ( 3 bedrooms, big living room, with garage and backyard ) would cost only $900.00 a month for rental. There is a 24 hour Walmart in their place.
Better go first on vacation in California before you finally decide to move. I think the cost of living in Florida is cheaper than living in California.
It is a beautufl place to live. I moved here from New york three years ago and it is the best move I've ever made! It is Sunny but not like Florida. Southern Cal is warm but they also get alot of fog and it gets chilly at times. The Bay area which is where I live is cold and rainy on some days and in the 80's on other days but it can get windy here. If you dont like earthquakes I suggest you think twice about moving to Cali! God Bless!
