Travel Info Where some nice and interesting places to go in san francisco without being too touristy? Travel Tips You shouldn't need to ask this. All you have to do is start walking and you'll be amazed at what you see. Every street has something different. Others Golden Gate Park is nice, as is Angel Island, and both are not too touristic. The Golden Gate Bridge has lots of visitors but the park is much quieter. Also, Stern Grove is very pretty. Lived in SF for 13 yrs Anything in downtown is great. Try China Town. If you are interested in aviation you may want to visit the Hiller Aviation Museum at the San Carlos airport. They are located about 30 miles south of San Francisco and about 15 miles south of SFO. The entrance fee is $9.00 for adults. There are a number of one of a kind a/c there. You can find more info at WWW.hiller.org I am a volunteer/docent at the above museum. Rent a car. Drive north over the Golden Gate into Marin Co. There are some really cute little towns, Sausilitto *kinda touristy* Tiburon *kinda as well* There is a great little town called Mill Valley, it's the cutest little town ever! I lived there and it was great! You can drive through Muir Woods, try to get over to Stinson Beach, the views on the way there are simply amazing! |
