I m getting an oppertunity to complete my engineering in UCmerced or san francisco state uni.which to choose? |
Travel Info please tell me which university would be beneficial for me and y?? and is merced a good place to live in ?? and which university will provide me good future please please help me Travel Tips I don't know much about the reputations of either university, but I would strongly suggest that living in San Francisco would be WAY better than Merced. If you're looking for great night life, diverse population, good restaurants, live music, beautiful scenery, close proximity to the beach, good public transportation, etc. definitely move to San Francisco. Housing is astronomically expensive in S.F. and would probably be much cheaper in Merced, so take that into consideration. I think rent prices in S.F. were ranked like 2nd highest in the U.S. a few years ago. It's a killer! Good luck with whatever choice you make! Others sf state it is a goood school in a good location merced is nice, but not the desried copllege atmospherre nice its more family middle america nice (boring for a student) its still up and coming as it opened recently, and it needs more time to develop into a great school The engineering classes at SF State can be very difficult to get into. If you are starting as a freshman, plan on staying around for 6 years to finish in Engineering. I have plenty of friends who started in this major only to change it because they couldn't finish it as soon as they planned. If timeline is a priority, SFSU may not be for you. Look into other schools with bigger engineering departments. SFSU alumni go to uc merced in the central valley. we are a bunch of nasty bastards in SF and the Bay Area |
