Best season to visit Yosemite?

Not sure what is the best season to visit Yosemite.

Spring is wonderful, as is Fall (especially if you can catch the leaves turning).
However, about now you'll have all the Park has to offer without the crowds of Summer or the snow pack (and related mountain travel issues) of Winter.

I would visit in April or May. The waterfulls are usually awesome. Summer is okay, but by late summer the water is low.......

That is not to say it is not beautiful all year round, but I prefer it as the snow is melting. That thunderous noise from full waterfalls is incredible.

If you can hike up to Upper Yosemite Falls or Nevada Falls just once you feel like you are on top of the world. Start early and just take your time and anyone can do.

I took up a friend who "rested" at every S-curve in the trail, but still really enjoyed it. Plus, its downhill on the way back.
I love it in early summer! The mountains still have snow on them, you see the steam coming off the lakes in the morning, moose and Buffalo are moving around alot, plants & trees are in bloom.....it's just wonderful! You have really cool nights and warm days.

Winter is no good because they close most of the roads.

Spring or Fall
I've been there all 4 seasons. If you don;'t mind crowds.. summer might be good.. Personally, I prefer the spring and fall.. Normally I go up from my parents house off of Hwy 41 and drive into the park from there. We live in the bay area and have used 120 a couple times. With the lack of snow there this year, go this weekend. Should be great weather!
The correct answer is spring unless you prefer large crowds (summer), snow (winter), no waterfalls (fall).
May-June don't go in the fall, the waterfalls may have dried to a trickle
