SFSU off campus housing?

Is it possible for a student to live in one of the apartments off campus by the school? Or is way too expensive? I wont have a car, so no gas, insurance. If i work like 20-30 hours a week - could i afford a place w/ a roomate in SF near SFSU?

Yeah you probably could. My friend goes there and she is living in a school owned apartment right off campus. I think it is cheaper since the school actually owns it, but im sure you can afford it.
