Airport transportation in San Fransisco to downtown? |
Travel Info What is the best way to get from the airport to downtown (French Embassy) and back? Looking for cheap. I just need to go there, get my visa (will take a few hours) and go back. I was thinking a towncar would be better than a cab, but I don't know the area well. Travel Tips Take BART (San Francisco's Metro) to Montgomery Street station. This will only cost $10.30 round-trip. The airport station is located next to Concourse G in the International Terminal From the station...walk up Montgomery St. for two blocks. Turn left on Bush St. for another two blocks. The address is: Consulate General of France 540 Bush Street San Francisco, CA 94108 415-397-4330 A cab will set you back from $60.00 to $80.00 round trip, not including tip. Definitely not worth it unless you're on a very tight schedule. Others Bart is the answer. Bart is the way to go and fast too You could also take Bart. It has a stop at the airport and goes through downtown. It costs about 5 bucks, depending on where you want to go. http://www.bart.gov/index.asp Take a shuttle bus from the airport. They run $15 each way and you might have a few other passengers but it is no big deal really. Super Shuttle (blue vans at airport) A cab or sedan will cost you $50 each way, not including a tip. it might be the fastest way, but it is very costly! lived in San Francisco from 2000-2005 Take BART, it goes right to the airport from downtown |
