Lodging in Carmel/Monterey/Pacific Grove Area?

Travel Info
Any recommendations for a nice place (not awfully expensive) in any of these towns? Been there often and still can't find one I would return to!

Travel Tips
Hi,
I would say the Best Western on Munrus Ave. Monterey is about average. Any of the motels and hotels in and around Monterey are a little high priced. Check in Seaside, I remember a less expensive motel in that area that was not a bad place to stay.
Once you head into Pacific Grove, there is a good priced motel at Lovers Point, I think it's Lovers Point Inn. Check this out. I stayed there a couple of times and it's not bad, a very nice location right at Lovers Point.
Carmel is another high priced area. Good Luck.

The Best Western mentioned above is likely the best cheap hotel there. They can be very cheap, but they are awful.

I usually use Priceline and stay at the Hilton up on the old golf course. Not the nicest hilton, but you can get it for 51 a night on Priceline. It beats anything else in the area for that cost.
