Travel Info Is oakland a bad place to live? Travel Tips If you can afford to live in the hills, and get home before dark, it's usually ok, but Oakland is really a very dangerous city to drive through, even in the daytime. I as a kid used to go to concerts in downtown Oakland, and the last time I visited..... 3 years ago, I was so scared I couldn't get out of there fast enough... the car in front of me got carjacked right in the middle of town. I personally would rather sleep on the streets of san francisco than ever have to spend any time in oakland again. Others Some parts of the city are good. Not in the hills or near Berkley. yes, ghetto land, crime galore! I live in San Fran and I will never ever go to oakland...Im so scared... no its great IT's in California need I say more |
