Traveling to San Fran in the Fall? |
Travel Info I'm traveling out to San Fran this August and was wondering... What is the 1 thing we must do out there. This will be my first time to the West Coast. Travel Tips How long will you be here? There is so much to do. Usually the fog stops rolling here at the end of August, it's unpredictable. Depends if you want to do big attractions or local joints. I recommend: Chinatown - Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Company, and lots of good dim sum places on Stockton or Washington, little shops are the best on Grant Fisherman's Wharf - lots of entertainment Golden Gate Park - Stow Lake where my husband proposed, the little "island" across the bridge, the windmill, buffalos The Marina - view of Golden Gate Bridge Japan Town? - I think they changed it...haven't been recently... Coit Tower - view of Golden Gate Bridge Twin Peaks - visit at night for a great city view Ocean Beach - watch the sunset, very windy though Union Square - shopping Saint Francis Woods - nice big houses/mansions Alcatraz - night tour is recommended cable car ride, bus tour? Other Travel Tips the golden gate bridge fisherman's wharf the hard rock cafe alcatraz, but you need to make reservations in advance ride the street cars, see the full house house, go to the fishermans wharf, see Alcatraz, shop till you drop, take a bus tour, go over the golden gate bridge, drive down pacific coast highway 1 (if you have a rental car)...that's all i can think of right now. yo should go to hate and ashberry. thats where i used to kick it on the daily. you will see alot of good shops and resturants there. you can also go to peer 39 or fishermans warf. the golden gate bridge is over rated. so is alcatraz but that was kinda fun the first time i went. there is so much to do.... just come up with things. Have fun:) i used to live there Visit Pier 39 and the whole wharf. Walk the roads, see the Golden Gate Bridge and ride the trolleys! See Alcatraz Island. Have fun! |
