Which place hotter (temp) - Denver or San Francisco? |
Travel Info Which place hotter (temp) - Denver or San Francisco? Travel Tips If you mean hotter peak temperature there is no question it is Denver. However because it gets so cold in Denver in the winter and San Francisco is very mild in the winter, San Francisco has a higher average daily temperature than Denver. I just consider that to be less cold not necessarily hotter. Others Denver for sure. The Humidity makes it feel tons worse. San Francisco usually has a slight breeze to it. Been to both. Leaving to Denver tonight =D Denver's average temperature in its hottest month (July) is 73.5. San Francisco's average temperature in its hottest month (August) is 62.7. So, to the extremes, Denver is hotter. However, San Fran's average yearly temperature is 57.1, compared to Denver's average yearly temperature of 50.3. So while San Fran is more moderate, on the average it is hotter than Denver. When it gets above 70, people around here (SF) complain about the heat. I'm not kidding. Summers are cold and foggy. (As soon as you go inland it heats up.) On the other hand, snow is so rare that people rush out of their houses to touch it. |
