Is anybody from Northern California?? |
Travel Info If so, do you like living there do you think any changes should be made??? What do you like best about and where exactly are you from??? I'm from around Chico myself.... Travel Tips I'm from San Francisco. (Moved across the Bay when I was six, and moved by at 23.) I love Northern California. I've never lived elsewhere, but I can't imagine not living here. It's very diverse here, and lots of different cultures. The weather is pretty nice. There is never nothing to do. There's always something exciting going on. Even having lived here for so long there are sights I have never been to. You will never ever get bored. The only things I would change is the traffic and home prices. One time it took me 3 hours to get onto the Bay Bridge from Chinatown (at rush hour), and it usually takes 10 minutes(?). It is too expensive to live decently here. Source(s): My husband is a native San Franciscan. Other Travel Tips yes it is very nice Northern California is Awesome! I love it. If you're a tourist you would have a wonderful time visiting there. I'm not from california, actually i took a tour oneday, we went to Yosemite National Park, then Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, Sequia park,... It was great, it really is. Go and visit or if you're interested in, you can stay and live there. Hope you find whacha want Honey Pie. I'm from Napa. I love it here. I moved here for a reason. I love the landscape and views, the weather, the food, the shopping, pretty much everything. The only things I want is for the city to do something about the roads, the slight bit of crime, the restrictions they put on wineries, and the price of houses. But I am happy living here! I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I love the Bay Area and Northern CA, it's such a great place to grow up and live. I just don't care for the weather too much. It changes too often and it's too cold at night, even in summer. I grew up in the East Bay in Walnut Creek and all summer the temp goes from 70 to 105 and is never constant. I also wish NorCal had beaches you could swim in like SoCal; there's no beach culture or scene in Northern CA. HOusing prices and traffic also suck but it's like that anywhere in CA and other desirable places to live. The Bay Area is my home and it's where all my family and close friends are from and that's why I love it the most. No city in the world no matter how great it is can match that. Aside from that I love going out to SF, such a beautiful city, love the Oakland A's, progressiveness of the bay area, great scenery, great people, good food, and lots to do. I've lived in SAn Diego for the past 6 years and love it down here just as much as the Bay Area but nothing compares to home and where you grew up. edit: haha I liked your last comment Surfer06, I feel the same way about Bay Area liberalism. As much as I prefer democrats over rebuplicans liberalism has a slightly different meaning in the bay. Moved to wine country recently from the east coast. It is absolutely beautiful out here, I love it. Cali is great, because there are so many outdoor activities to do (hiking, surfing, snowboarding.. etc) and there are great wineries! I dislike the fact that the cost of living is so high. Groceries, gas and house prices are absurd. There also seems to be two classes out here, poor or rich... There are some people out here who try too hard to be "liberal." I am a democrat myself, but they seem to shove liberalism in your face out here. |
