SF Bart from Oakland Airport to downtown SF? and downtown SF to SF airport? |
Travel Info can anyone tell me how long it takes apporximately if i take from oakland airport to downtown SF by BART? and by the way please tell me if BART is safe or not.. i've never been there before. is it dangerous at night or even in the morning as well? is it gross? please tell me more about it. i'm going up for an interview and i'd like to know the best way to get from Oakland Airport to downtown SF other than the BART? and i heard the freeway collapsed? has it been repaired? and please do tell me ways to get back from downtown SF to SF airport (not oakland)!! and how long it takes!! thanks!! Travel Tips From Oakland Airport to Civic Center (downtown SF)is approx. 25mins. And Bart is quite safe and clean. Others About half an hour for each trip. BART is safe, especially in the morning, as it's full of commuters. Just keep your belongings in sight and mind; there have been some pickpockets. And it is clean. The freeway collapse has been repaired. Alternate transportation from SF to the airport, you could take a shuttle (about $15) or a cab (about $35-40). From the civic center to the SF airport is about 30 min. $5.10 oneway. They have departure times for everything on there website. http://www.bart.gov/stations/map/systemm... We used this on our trip to SF this month. Completely safe. The freeway collapse has no effect on BART, maybe a few more passangers. But while we were there (the first week after it happened) it had no hinderance on our travel as we actually drove past where it collapsed......just minor, there are plenty of alternative routes. And Bart is the fastest way to travel where you need to go as the buses can get backed up by the stop lights (personal experience...we stayed in downtown) |
