Is there smog in San Francisco like there is in LA? |
Travel Info I was recently in Los Angeles and the smog was nasty. I was also in San Diego which was beautiful. LA had this yellow ring around it coming up Interstate 5 mid morning. Disgusting. Is San Francisco also like this? Travel Tips SF's "natural air conditioning" (winds blowing off the Pacific) keeps the air very clean. The only time it gets smoggy is on hot, still days, when the smog from the East Bay finds its way over. Others No SF has much cleaner air like san diego. LA is smoggy and shi*tty. But it clears up. San diego gets some smogg too but not as much. I used to live there. LA gets the smog cloud that wont go away because its in a basin. it gets trapped. san fran is basically more elevated and the wind takes care of that. all the smogs in san jose Never seen a yellow ring in SF for the past 20 yrs! no the wind in SF pushes the smog away No SMOG issue in SF -it is called FOG here in SF. Clean cool fog from the ocean. |
