How often do earthquakes occur here in San Francisco?

Travel Info
I live down here about 20 miles northeast of Los Angeles and I haven't felt the slightest one in about 1 or 2 years. What about up in SF?

Travel Tips
Actually earthquakes are occurring every day all over California. Most of them are so mild that no one feels them. To answer your question, there was a 2.8 quake in the Bay area about 8:00pm Sunday night.
Others
we had some small ones...enough to slightly feel them in November but other than a few 3.0 or less we have not had any really big ones....which is a good thing and I am knocking on wood as I type this!!!!

Daily, but they're mini-quakes that nobody can feel. I get email updates on them from that usgs site. The last one I felt was last year here in Napa. There was one last week I think about 13 miles north. Never felt it. It's fun to be on earthquake watch...as long as it's not the big one.
All responders correct thus far. I'm not a seismologist, my understanding is like the others...they happen all the time. I can tell you from experience ( '57 quake...'89 quake and all the little ones in between), that it usually takes at least a 4 something for most people to notice. Oh yeah, and they will always happen when it is the "furthest thing from your mind"....they always arrive uninvited. PS. Not to shake you up, but if you think you are 'safer' where you are, think again. You just never know.
There are several "microquakes" every day. Most people can't feel them. For more information, go to http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/rece...
