How is the gay pride in San Francisco? |
Travel Info I'm planning on going up there this month for the festival. What is it like? Travel Tips San Francisco is a pretty open and tolerant city so gay pride is quite high. After all, San Francisco does allow gays to marry unlike many other places in the rest of the country. The festival attracts a lot of people so it will be very large, and very lively. It will be bustling with excitement. There's gonna be a parade, but some people might go a little crazy. I'm sure you'll have a great time there. But as with other major gay pride festivals in North America, however, it's highly commercialized and regimented. Lots of "brought to you by" signs from airlines, banks, and other corporate entities. So the experience is not much different than in New York City, Boston, Toronto, Washington DC, Chicago, Atlanta, or Los Angeles. |
