What are the most affordable places to live in the Silicon Valley? |

If you want a house , try calling the local real estate offices. Try looking at the San Jose Mercury News Classifies on line or the local papers like Palo Alto Times, Los Altos Town Crier, etc. It's very expensive to live in the valley. You may need to check places like Morgan Hill, Pleasanton, Milpitas and commute which is no picnic because of the traffic. You can get less expensive housing in areas of Mountain View, Sunnyvale and Cupertino but depending on where you're coming from, you may find these places depressing. Rentals, you can find in the newspapers also by driving around, there will be signs and you can take down the phone number and call. There are some places by downtown san jose that are cheap. but of course they are near downtown and a lot of college students live there. Good luck. You should have researched before deciding to move to Silicone Valley, you may be living in your car, houses are sold before they are put up for sale and there is no such thing as reasonable.
