Road trip from San Fran to Seattle?

Hey, doing an eight day road trip from SF to Seattle. Anybody know of any good places to visit?

Depends on what you're interested in and how far out of your way you want to go. If you like natural wonders, Mt. Shasta and Crater Lake are pretty cool, and I'd definitely take a drive through the Avenue of the Giants to see the big redwoods. In terms of towns, Ashland, OR is very cool. If you're going up the coast you might stop in Ferndale, near Arcata.

Eight days is great. I'd suggest you go up the coast on Hwy 1.
Cannon Beach in Oregon is great, as are most of the coastal towns. In Oregon the Tillamuk Cheese Factory is a good tour. If you go up the Oregon Coast you might want to check out the State Parks there. Many have yurts (tent cabins) to stay in at very reasonable cost. (under $30 a night).
I actually live in Seattle and have been that way recently. Just south of Seattle (65 miles) is Olympia, the state capitol. It is a cute town.

Head north on Highway 101 and head through the redwoods and then up the Oregon Coast
The southern end of this journey is the best part.....Lake Tahoe is beautiful with trees down to the lakes edge....experience the redwood trees in the north west of California....be sure to drive through the wine regions of Napa and Sonoma...visit Sausalito and Muir Woods....have a safe journey.
