Travel Info What are some of the more affordable (hah) areas to live within a 30 minute commute distance of Monterey CA? Travel Tips Places more affordable than Monterey but within 30 minutes are: -Marina -Seaside (lots of bad areas so look around first) -Sand City -Salinas (again, lots of bad areas so look around) -Prunedale (small, not someplace I would want to live) -Castroville (very small, nothing there, dirty and less expensive) If you wanted to go a little further you might try Gonzales which is about 45 to 50 minutes from Monterey. I used to live in Marina and it is a descent town. If you need any advice on picking an area send me an email. Others Seaside is pretty reasonable for the area. Not too far...Pacific Grove is cheaper than MOnterey but more expensive than seaside. Check out Craigslist.org for rental prices.! Within a half hour drive of Monterey, CA? I highly suggest either bringing lots of money, or getting a sugar daddy... Due to high tourism, prices on everything will be significantly higher than inland spots. Gilroy? good luck Salinas |
