Are children allowed on wine-tasting tours in napa valley? |
Travel Info Are children allowed on wine-tasting tours in napa valley? Travel Tips When I was a young child and my family lived in Ukiah, in the middle of Mendociono County wine country, we used to go to wineries all the time on weekends. Children are definately allowed but obviously not allowed to sample any wine. My parents never had problems bringing me and my brother with them to the wineries. As long as your kids are well behaved and respectful the winery will have no problem with kids coming along with their parents. And sometimes some of the wineries have places for kids to play or hang out. We usually went to wineries in Sonoma and Mendocino Counties though so I'm not too sure if Napa Valley wineries are any different. Others Yes in certain tasting rooms but not many. If the child is under the age of twenty-one (the legal drinking age), then no. But if they can drive, you should take them anyway, as they can be the designated driver when the parents are too intoxicated to get behind the wheel. no. please dont lug your child along. i dont really remember where it was, probably napa, but when i was about five, we went rving and my parents decided it would be fun to go wine tasting, so i had to sit in the rv with my sister for hours while they swilled wine it was horrible. dont put your child through that. Depends on the facility you're touring. But the more important part will your kids really enjoy the tour? I am sorry but the laws apply everywhere even in the hills of Nappa Valley. My uncle runs tours and has had this question a lot. So no, children are NOT allowed to sample the wine. I hate it when people bring their children! Save everyone the headache. |
