Travel Info is it okay to smoke outside the building ??? outside of starbucks???? if no, then.....where can i smoke at???? Travel Tips You can smoke 50 ft or further from any entrance of public buildings. You can smoke in private residences. I would not try to smoke outside of starbucks, if they police don't get you, native Californians will raise hell. Others nowhere, its bad 4 your lungs and you should have never started ding dong here's their rules: http://sftfc.globalink.org/article%2019f... No smoking inside, but outside is fine. Outside starbucks is fine. San Francisco has some of the toughest anti-smoking laws on the books. However, the police often ignore minor violations. The SFPD has more important crimes to deal with (you know, like rape and murder). You can legally smoke inside a private residence. You can legally smoke outdoors, subject to the restrictions outlined below. No smoking indoors anywhere that the public congregates... including restaurants, bars, theatres, and shops. (Fully enforced) No smoking in public parks, squares, beaches, and outdoor stadiums. (Rarely enforced, except for stadiums) No smoking within 20 feet of outdoor bus stops, ferry landings, entrances to subway stations, or entrances to government buildings. (Rarely enforced) Enforcement practices can change though. If you receive complaints about breaking the rules, please do the next guy a favor and put it out. If the authorities get a lot of irrate phone calls from the public, they'll start getting tough about it. |
