I am going to windsor california which is like 1 hour away from san fransico and was wondering...? |
Travel Info what all their is to do in san fransico. not wanting them all. just like amusment parks, water parks? any interesting things like a ripleys, or hard rock cafe? i apreeciate ur help!!! Travel Tips Oh boy...it is a lot farther than an hour......yes, yahoo maps says 1 hour 2 minutes. But I have done that drive and that stretch of highway is so completely backed up going south bound in the morning and north bound in the afternoon. So be aware. In SF, there is a hard rock cafe and Pier 39. Ripley's is fairly closet to both. Just down the waterfront. Closest amusement parks are Six Flags Marine world in Vallejo, 30 miles north east of SF and Six Flags Great America about 45 minutes south of SF. There are two water parks in the SF area. Waterworld in Concord, 30 miles east of SF and Raging Waters in Fremont Area about 50 miles south of SF. Others Here is a link to a site that will list so many things to do in San Francisco. There's a Ripley's Museum on Fisherman's Wharf. There's a Hard Rock Cafe on Pier 39. go hang out in north beach for a few hours. Plenty to see just by sitting and people watching and great italian food and scenery hang out on columbus or in washington square park Hard Rock -- Hmmm. So many great places in SF that blow Hard Rock out of the water....would not call Hard Rock interesting or even good! Vallejo California has a Six Flags park that also owns a water park. I think it is called Discovery Kingdom. About 45 to hour from Windsor. Closer to you is the Russian River where you can Canoe from Healdsburg or go winetasting in Anderson Valley. Go to Alcartraz or even try the go-karts at Skandia in Rohnert Park..... SF proper you can go sailing, eat at Cheesecake Factory (if you like chains)... How old are you? Can suggest bars/restaurants if we know. |
