I want to plan a one day tour from Fremont to Yosemite. Any suggestions? |
Travel Info Can anyone help me with the tour company who can help me plan a one day trip to yosemite from Fremont? Travel Tips An initial search shows me a place in San Francisco that books one day bus tours to Yosemite: http://www.yosemitetours.us/ It looks like they even have a one-day train tour, a one-day bus tour, and a one-day van tour -- but all from San Francisco. Of course getting to San Francisco from Fremont is pretty simple if you take BART. I didn't read far enough at that website to see where the point of departure is in SF, but chances are it wouldn't be far from a BART station. Worth a phone call maybe? Others I don't know of any tour companies that do exactly what you want. You can of course just do the trip yourself. It's an easy place to find, about 4 hour drive on easy roads. It makes for a very long day to go and come back, but can be done. Once you get to Yosemite there are tours inside the park run by the forest service that are inexpensive and very informative. To be honest, this is the route I would choose anyway. If you choose this method, leave very early as you want to be there about 9:00am. You might also go to their website and see if you are reserve a spot on a tour, or at least purchase the ticket on-line. Rent a car. Leave at 5 AM and with a brief stop(coffee and donuts) you should be there by 9:00AM. That will give you plenty of time to see the falls and great walks to various areas, time for a deli lunch and can be heading back to Fremont by 6 PM or earlier if wanted. make it longer |
