What's the best restaurant in Napa, CA? |
Travel Info What's the best restaurant in Napa, CA? Travel Tips if you are talking, just napa the city, then hands down Uva's Trattoria or Bistro Don Giovanni. Other note worthy place is Angele. If you car to go further north up valley, then I would recomend Brix in Oakville area, Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen in St. Helena, Wappo's Wine Bar in Calistoga. And lochmessy is out of their mind. French Laundry is still alive and kickin. Though I would personally go to Bouchon instead if I were going to pick a Thomas Keller Restaurant. Others The CIA, hands down. Culinary Institute of America has a restaurant at Greystone in St. Helena, quite close to Napa. I'm not a foodie or a gourmet, but the dessert gave me a small orgasm right at the table. http://www.ciachef.edu/restaurants/wsgr/... mustard's grill by far. Probably would have been the French Laundry, but as it no longer exists and is now Per Se in NYC, it no longer counts. I've eaten at Mustard's every trip to Napa and made special trips up to Napa, including New Years Eve just to be able to have a meal there. Never had a bad meal over all the years. Of course I haven't been there in a few years and I hope it is still there, if not, what a loss. I know there are a load of restaurants in the area and have had many great meals, but living in NY, I still think this is about the best restaurant I have been to. So many to choose from. The French Laundry in Yountville is absolutely wonderful. Bistro Jeanty also in Yountville is really nice as well. French Laundry, if you can wait to get in! |
