Factory Outlet Shopping: Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco?

Travel Info
What do you think about Desert Desert Hill Premium Outlet in LAX and Las Vegas Premium Outlet in LVS?

How far are these places from the cities?

Any recommendations for good factory outlet shopping SF?

Travel Tips
Deset Hill Premium outlets is byfar my favorite outlet mall when I head down to so. cal!!! There are some good outlets and the area is just nice and weather is warmer. It is far from LA; from downtown LA, it is apprx. 1 hour and 1/2 away but I think it is worth the drive.

The Las Vegas premium outlets is also a great one and is much closer to the strip. I took a taxi there and costed about $13 and was only about 10-15 minutes away. Good selection of stores here too.

As far as outlets in SF, there are not that many, just some company outlets like Jessica McClintock selling overstock and samples etc. For outlet malls, you will have to travel out of SF either to Gilroy, Vacaville, or Sonoma/Napa. Gilroy is apprx. 45 min drive down highway101. Vacaville is apprx. 40 min drive east. Sonoma/Napa is approx 1 hour north of SF. I think the Gilroy and Vacaville outlets have a bit more selection than the Sonoma/Napa ones...just my opinion!
Lots of these types of outlet malls usually have bus shuttles if you were interested and didn't have a car. Check out the link... Source(s): LOVE outlet shopping and have been to both you mentioned!

Other Travel Tips
Las Vegas outlets only 40 minutes south of the city on Route 15 south. Great place
If you could drive a bit north from SF to Napa Valley, there's 2 outlets. Napa Premium Outlets is my favorite, good names and cheaper. But a few miles up the highway in St. Helena are their outlets. And they have stores like Prada and Movado, London Fog and such, but more expensive.
In the SF area there are outlets in Petaluma, Napa, Vacaville in the north bay and Gilroy in the south bay.

Napa is about 40 min drive. Petaluma depending on the day 45 min to 1hour. Vacaville probably an hour. And gilroy maybe just over an hour.

I like Napa best (but I live in napa so give it preferential treatment), gilroy and vacaville 2nd and petaluma is my least fave.
