Late night bonfire, santa cruz?

Any one know of a good beach where we wouldnt be bothered by cops at 10? We're getting sick of having to get off then come back to stay out later.

I used to have bonfires near santa cruz all the time - but I know now they have been cracking down on this. The best place I know of to have a nice bonfire is near Pescadero, which is about 15 mins or less from Santa Cruz. The good thing about this place is that is has the beach substantially lower than the highway that leads you there (about 20 ft or more) meaning a cop is less likely to see your bonfire this way. Plus the waves a big there, you can see them if there is moonlight. I love that place, I should go back there soon. Have fun and hope this helps.
