Department of health in san francisco regarding mold? |
Travel Info how to kill mold Travel Tips I would get a professional to do it, if it's really bad, because I found out that if you do it on your own, there are a lot of precautions you have to take to make sure it does not spread. From what I read about self-cleaning the mold, vinegar (non-toxic) works the best. Second option is bleach. You can read more about bleach and other substances at the link below. The yellow pages has a list of professionals who can clean it for you. From what I read online, they say, make sure they are licensed mold cleaners, and use a proper methods of mold remediation. Also, important thing to make sure is that if you are not satisfied, they will refund the money or redo the cleaning for you. Call them up to find out more about their service and rates. Btw, the dept. of health wouldn't do anything to clean the mold for you. They might be able to recommend you some cleaners but they don't clean the mold up themselves. If you are renting, you can request the landlord to do it, if possible and depending upon where the mold is. Good luck! Source(s): Some really good info on this site: http://www.toxic-black-mold-info.com/... Another site I found that might give you more info: http://www.epa.gov/iaq/molds/moldguide.h... Professional mold cleaners website: http://www.servicemasterclean.com/... Other Travel Tips I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you asking if the SF Dept of Health will assist in mold abatement? Get rid of the mold with bleach. Do not allow bathroom surfaces to remain damp by providing adequate ventilation. |
