What can you do in San Fransisco? |
Travel Info As a first timer in San Francisco in the first of July, I'm going to spend the whole day with a bunch of friends and we are not sure what are the fun things to do during the day and at night. Also, where do the fireworks in San Francisco take place? and at what time? Are the fireworks in Sacramento better than San fran? Thanks Travel Tips Lucky you, I went to San Francisco in April for the 1st time and had such an amazing time. You should go to Land Ends, amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. If you go to the Golden Gate Bridge, do it in the afternoon. because it tends to be foggy until noon. Dont forget to pack a light sweater, because it gets very chilly in the morning and its pretty windy. Have Fun!! Others I *love* San Francisco. I was there last summer for several days. The main thing I did was just walk around looking at the different parts of the city - the water front area, Russian Hill, Chinatown, Haight-Ashbury (a bit disappointing), the Castro, etc. The public transit is also pretty good, but the drivers are insane. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/san_francis... as a starting point. Depends on what you and your friends like to do...If it's not cold, Baker Beach is nice. Land's End is beautiful if you want a short hike. If you want something more cosmopolitan, downtown has lots of shopping, restaurants. If you don't mind crowds of tourists, you can go to pier 39. I also like walking through Chinatown, though it is also always full of tourists. For nighttime, the North Beach area has plenty of stuff to do. I don't know about fireworks. lived in SF for 5 years |
