Travel Info
i have a plan. i want to move to california. me and my roomate.
we get a 1 bedroom. 1 sleeps in the living room. and another sleeps in the bedroom. we obvuiosly split the rent. and we go in our fields. he's a electrician. and i sand and refinish hardwood floors. . okay... we want to go to cali. so since we live in a 1 bedroom. we go for a year. the salary's are higher obvuisly . becuz cost of living. but since salary is higher. we save it up and back to our our old homes.. back in east coast.. then we get our own cribs......we .. what do u think about that. DOES THAT SEEM LIKE ITS A GOOD IDEA. keep infact that we have jobs waiting for us over their.. DO U THINK WE'LL END UP MAKING THOUSANDS..?? or is their a badside to this !

Travel Tips
I think you should remember that everything in California is more expensive - not just rent. There is gas, car insurance, electricity, etc. If you plan to move many things between the west and east coast you will find that very expensive (in the thousands). If you are taking what fits in a car you might be okay. You may also be surprised to find out what you think is good money where you are now may not actually be good money when you get to California. Remember to budget in gas and food money if you plan to drive to and from California. I think you would end up with some money saved at the end of one year, but I really don't think the amount saved would be worth making the move

No...thats a stupid idea....I live in california and on the east coast....pays are not higher
Sounds like a good plan to me!

Being an electrician, and sanding and refinishing floors, are both very marketable services in California. If you're good, you should have no trouble getting work. It's good that you're willing to live cheap for a while, until you get going. The key is living cheap because it's expensive to live out here, but you're right, you also get paid more. And if you have jobs waiting for you, then there's even less risk!

You'll LOVE living in California! I do! Good luck!

(PS. I like northern California better than Southern. The LA area is hotter, more crowded, worse traffic. But that's just me.)
Northern Ca. is very expensive - I live here, but then I was born here and I don't want to leave.
You won't end up making thousands because a one bedroom apt can cost you $1,000 a month plus utilities and in some parts, parking is extra.
The always goodside to the Coast is that it doesn't snow, and if you want snow, just drive to the High Sierras is 4 hours or so. Happy Trails.
