Anyone know where to buy fresh fish in the Santa Cruz area.? |
Travel Info We are camping in the Santa Cruz area and want to make a big pot of chipinno with lots of fresh fish. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good fish markets or warfs to buy some supper fresh fish at? Travel Tips There is a wharf there. Look for signs directing you to the municipal pier. There's several markets on the pier. All are good. If you'd like to take a drive, go up to Half Moon Bay. There's a really good one there. It's the last shop along the mall. There may also be fisherman selling off their boats. But check for freshness (eyes are clear, no fishy smell). The drive to Half Moon Bay can take a while, though. It's about 40 miles to HMB from Santa Cruz, and traffic will be horrific. Others go to beach and fish a lot. |
