Travel Info Is there a bus from San Jose airport to Santa Cruz at night time, around 21 o'clock?? Travel Tips http://www2.ucsc.edu/taps/pdf/airport_co... This site suggests the #10 to the Santa Clara Caltrain station, then Caltrain to San Jose Diridon station, then a southbound Highway 17 Express bus. The Highway 17 Express (joint effort of Santa Clara county VTA and Santa Cruz Metro Transit District) has been combined with Amtrak's Santa Cruz Connector bus as a cost-saving move. The Amtrak bus will drop you off at "Metro Santa Cruz" (downtown hub), from which you can walk to the beach or take a bus to the university. http://www.scmtd.com <-- Santa Cruz Metro Transit District. http://iridethebus.org/dest/sanjose/... The bus described above is the only one listed which goes from Santa Cruz to San Jose. http://www.scmtd.com/routes/rt17.html... "Amtrak Highway 17 Express." http://www.scmtd.com/schedule/sched17wds... "Weekday, Southbound" (requires Adobe Reader to view)--the last bus of the day leaves San Fernando & 7th at 10:30, reaches Diridon Station at 10:37, and arrives at Santa Cruz Metro Center at 11:30 p.m. http://www.vta.org Santa Clara County VTA: 408-321-2300 http://www.scmtd.com/contact.html... Santa Cruz Metro Transit District: Bus information 831-425-8600 http://www.greyhound.com/home.asp... Saturday evening (tonight), the last bus out departs from San Jose Greyhound at 8:55 p.m. and arrives in Santa Cruz at 9:45 p.m. This entails taking the #10 to Santa Clara Caltrain, the #22 to Almaden & Santa Clara, walking 1 block south to Almaden & San Fernando, and catching yourself a Greyhound. http://www.greyhound.com/contact.shtml... 1-800-231-2222 Fare and schedule information The #22 runs all day and all night. If you try the route which includes the #10 bus, you might want to call the number for VTA and bop through their automated system to find out when the last #10 bus runs. Google search: airporter jose (Isn't there a bus called the San Jose Airporter?) http://www.chi2007.org/images/transporta... Yes, there is. It is a $65 fare to Scotts Valley. And that's not even all the way to Santa Cruz. Yikes! Source(s): Inveterate transit user. Way too familiar with #10 and #22 buses, rode Highway 17 Express once a year for several years, passing familiarity a long time ago with location of Greyhound station (long enough ago that I looked it up just to make sure I knew what I was talking about).
