Alajuela is just five minutes from the airport and on the way to many popular attractions. Flagging down a bus at the Highway Bus Stop can be tricky. While the bus stop is convenient for north and westbound travelers the bus stop is also unattended making it is easy to miss a bus. Those missing their bus may need to cross the highway, walk to the airport and take a bus or taxi into San Jose to make other transportation arrangements.
