Travel Info Quickest & cheapest way from san jose airport to san francisco? Travel Tips Take Caltrain. It takes less than one and a half hours. Since you will be boarding the train from Santa Clara station, you don't have a choice to take the bullet train but even the limited should be fine. There's free shuttle "Airport Flyer" that takes you back and forth from Santa Clara station to SJC. Travelling in four zones one way would cost you $7.50. Try BART -- Bay Area Rapid Transit. Ask at the Information Desk in the Airport. Bus or Train service may be available from the San Jose Airport to San Francisco. Since San Jose Airport is south of San Francisco, the Ferry might be another option, but you'd have to take a Taxi or BART to get to it. I'm thinking Taxi is not the cheapest way to go. Good Luck and if you can change the airport you fly into I would look into Oakland that way you could take BART. have a friend or family member drop you off for $25 to 30, fastest and cheaper than most public transportation... my neighbor drops me off at SFO,, sorry cannot tell you what I pay,lol.. |
