What is the average humidity in Santa Clara,Ca / south SF bay area during summer (May-Aug)? |
Travel Info My apartment gets really hot in summer (often >100F) and I'm thinking of getting a water based air cooler. However since they work by evaporating water using a fan, they are only effective when the humidity in the air is less than 50%, so I'm trying to find out if the cooler will be effective of not. Travel Tips the humidity here is usualyl not that bad...i would get it. its mostly a dry heat, sometimes its not Others Typically the humidity is around 50%. I'm no weatherman but I've lived her for over 30 years and the humidity is probably between 40% and 50% during the summer months. We get all of our rain in the months from November to March and ALL summer long we're lucky to get 2 rainy days. The humidity we DO get comes from the Pacific Ocean, over the Coastal Range and from the water in the San Francisco Bay. Our temperatures during the summer AVERAGE 70-90 degrees F during the day and cools off to 50-60 in the evenings. |
