Which part of San Jose has a good, safe neighborhood? |
Travel Info I am looking for an apartment in San Jose, Santa Clara, which part of these cities are good neighborhoods? (street names please, or tell me a general area) thanks Travel Tips San Jose in general is pretty safe. Willow Glen is a nice area, along with Cambrian and Alameda. Campbell, and if you can afford Los Gatos/Saratoga is also very nice. Others Campbell milpitas... check out the new apartments next to the great mall.. its pretty safe there. I think I must have misread your question because the first 2 answers were about adjoining cities. There are many safe areas of San Jose. It depends on how much you want to spend. The Southwestern section of San Jose is probably your best bet. The area east of 101 and between Blossom Hill Road and Yerba Buena Road is comprised of upper middle class residents who value safety, education and respect. There are smaller pockets of beautiful neighborhoods all throughout San Jose but a realtor will be your best bet. I could write a book about areas to stay away from but that wasn鈥檛 your question. Living in the Bay Area for over 40 years. Try the Willow Glen and Cambrian neighborhoods (West San Jose). It's a largely residential area and pretty safe. Generally, opt for something further west on the map, rather than east, and avoid downtown San Jose, if safety is your first concern. I live in North part of San Jose. It 's nice and safe. Check out the apartments near Rivermark area. They are quite decent. |
