Others If you mean "light" fireworks, then there are only a few cities in the entire Bay Area that still allow legal fireworks (safe and sane types). Newark and Union City are the ones I know of, not sure if any of the others still do though. If you want to watch fireworks on public display, Chrissy Field in SF is an amazing show. Great America in Santa Clara has great ones too. The Oakland A's will have a fireworks show after their game on July 3rd as well. The church on the hill does a great firework show and before the show, they have a little carnival. It is all free too. You get there from Curtner Ave. turn onto Canoas Garden and go up the hill. They often have people park in the Cathedral of Faith parking lot, which is the church on the corner under the Church on the Hill. Sometimes Spartan Stadium puts on a display also. |
