Hi! How is it working and living in Khamis Mushayt as a single lady? |
Travel Info Will be working in the armed forces hosp come June. I would very much appreciate some tips on how it is there. Climate, accomodations etc. Thanks much! Travel Tips hmmmm well khamis mushait is a very small city in the southern region of saudi arabia theres nothing much u can do over there. and for a lady i think it will be kind difficult for u to adapt. but the city is small and u'll probably be living in a compound with other doctors and nurses. the climate is very nice cold winter hot summer warm spring. its a mountain city. if the pay is good then why not go and discover the place, and see how it goes. bcz it really depends on u after all. im not sayin it's a bad place but im sayin it will be challenging to adapt to the new culture. also keep in mind it's a man dominant society. good luck Others ok lady, take it from the expert, i am in the IT. field and i am in a project with the 5 regional armed forces hospitals in the kingdom, for khamis its a small city but i dont think u need to go out of the compound, its a poor small city. but for u guys as employees you will have fun, the working environment is very nice, facilities and housing is good, food is offered through the hospital restaurants. and as a single lady, i guess u will find many single men to date or for friendship.... take care I have driven through there when I went on a trip to Abha from Riyadh. It seemed like a bit of a ghost town in the middle of nowhere. It is hard enough to be a single lady in some of the big cities in KSA. I don't imagine it being much fun there. Sorry if this is bad news. |
